BOARD OF HEALTH WORKSHOP & WATERMANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
NOVEMBER 9, 2010

II.     UPDATE ON INNOVATIVE ALTERNATIVE SEPTIC SYSTEMS

        Ms. Sue Rask and Mr. Brian Baumgaertel of Barnstable County Department of Health and Environemental presented to the Board updates on the               currently used Innovative Alternative technology septic systems in the town of Eastham.  Also, a Carmody update was provided to the Board by Brian      Baumgaertel, it was explained that some changes ware on going with the Carmody system and updates continue to be forwarded by the Health                department also.

III.    WATER QUALITY OVERVIEW AND WASTEWATER UPDATES

        Ms. Crowley updated the Board on Environmental Partners updates.  There are monthly meetings.  Three internal well sites are identified and pump tests  are underway.  The project is ahead of schedule and under budget.  District G pump test is complete with the final source report to be filed.  District H 5 to  10 day pump test to go forward.  There continues to be good communication.

        Waterwater updates were also given to the Board.

        Discussions with Orleans regarding contractual agreements and responsibilities  regarding Tri-Town.

IV.     OTHER BUSINESS

        The December workshop was discussed and the possibility of conducting a seminar on I/A technology in which information is provided to the public on     system education was discussed.
